about this blog

Hello lovelies.  I wanted to use this post as an opportunity to share why i started this blog.  in part it was because i wanted to enter the shabby apple contest and i needed a blog to do it.

But...then i began thinking about keeping the blog to share with people who may have shared a similar experience.  i named this blog A Budding Beauty not as an expression of vanity, but because i was one of what i believe to be many who were surrounded by people who were both selfish and insecure and used me to make themselves feel better.  as a result i never really fully came into myself.  Until recently that is.  Once you stand up to and then remove yourself from those who keep you down so much more is possible (yes, i know that sounds corny, but believe me it does happen).

I am a late bloomer, and this is the guidebook i am writing for myself.

 #1
BE FEARLESS / DON'T LET FEAR STOP YOU

The most important of all guidelines, most anything you can learn about life fear and fearlessness are usually at the root.  Insecure people will do all they can to make you afraid, they will teach you to be afraid of your own voice.  Don't let them.

FEARLESSNESS will give you the best experiences of you life.

More on this later :)

Dress desgin for Shabby Apple dresses

i am entering the Dress Design for Shabby Apple dresses.  when i heard about this contest my mind went a little crazy designing.  but so as not to overwhelm myself, or you, i chose two (or two and a half) designs to enter.  this first one is called the wanderlust dress for people like me who love to travel but don't want to limit their activities to things they can do in tee shirts and jeans.  this is a dress designed to travel and to serve multi purposes as it is reversible and has a kind of dual personality.  one side is casual the other a little glam.  one side for work the other side for play.  you get the idea.

made in jewel tone colors, pink with yellow, blue with black, and made of china silk or a rayon jersey this dress will be light and comfortable to wear
here are the two different personalities of one dress.  and below is the second version of this dress, the difference being long sleeves and a sheath silhouette rather than a waistline

my second design was again inspired by travel, but from a wonderful movie and a gorgeous actress, Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief.  Hence the Monaco dress
it is inspired by her bathing suit outfit, done in bold white and black and made of light weight silks.  Just like every girl needs a LBD every girl should also have a LWD

Well, hope you like them,
 that's all for today.
